{"id":9256,"date":"2010-06-15T02:45:00","date_gmt":"2010-06-15T02:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/traveloscopy.com\/travel-news\/sydney-airport-officially-opens-new-international-terminal-2\/"},"modified":"2010-06-15T02:45:00","modified_gmt":"2010-06-15T02:45:00","slug":"sydney-airport-officially-opens-new-international-terminal-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/traveloscopy.com\/travel-news\/2010\/06\/sydney-airport-officially-opens-new-international-terminal-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Sydney Airport officially opens new international terminal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sydneyairport.com.au\/\" imageanchor=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"116\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sydneyairport.com.au\/SACL\/IgnitionSuite\/uploads\/images\/banner_terminalInfo.jpg\" width=\"400\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Source: e-Travel Blackboard<\/p>\n<p>Sydney Airport officially opened the $500 million expanded and upgraded departures level of its international terminal on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The unveiling ceremony was attended by Australia\u2019s Transport and Infrastructure Minister, the Hon Anthony Albanese MP and 150 aviation industry representatives including the Chairman of Sydney Airport, Max Moore-Wilton and Sydney Airport\u2019s CEO, Russell Balding.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Balding said that the revamped International Terminal will provides a better travel experience for the growing number of international travellers using Sydney Airport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe upgrade is part of a $1.7 billion investment that Sydney Airport has made since 2002 with about $700 million invested in just the last two years. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPassengers will continue to benefit from ongoing investment, with a further $1.0 billion in planned capital expenditure over the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur aim is to provide travellers with an enhanced travel experience.
