The Kingdom Tower will measure 1.6km high, making it twice the height of the current world\u2019s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The mixed-use development will consist of hotels, offices, luxury apartments and a shopping centre.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breakingtravelnews.com\/images\/sized\/images\/uploads\/miscellaneous\/Kingdom_Tower-250x181.jpg\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"180\" src=\"http:\/\/www.breakingtravelnews.com\/images\/sized\/images\/uploads\/miscellaneous\/Kingdom_Tower-250x181.jpg\" width=\"250\" \/><\/a>The \u00a312 billion structure will be twice the height of the world\u2019s current tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and take 12 minutes to reach the top by lift.<\/p>\n<p>The megastructure, which will be built in the port city of Jeddah, is being financed by the Saudi Royal Family-owned Kingdom Holding Company, and shareholders include in Amazon, Apple and McDonald\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>KHC has employed American company Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture who designed the Burj Khalifa. It is also reported that Emaar, the developer of the Burj Khalifa, has won the construction rights to the Kingdom Tower.<\/p>\n<p>Emaar was voted \u201cMiddle East\u2019s Leading Tourism Property Development Company\u201d at World Travel Awards.
