I first came across the wine growing region of Mudgee about 30 years ago. \u00a0I’ve been part of the territory \u00a0for a long time, following the progress of winemaking \u00a0Mudgee style for all those years. \u00a0The region surprises at each turn of the road. \u00a0 \u00a0It’s time I returned. All because of a lovely drop from Eloquesta, – A Shiraz Petit Verdot 2009. \u00a0The wine is first class, and so too is the history which ranges from delightful villages to tales aplenty by Henry Lawson. \u00a0It is also home to the Loaded dog. \u00a0Ask the locals to show you the site of Lawson’s brilliantly written story of a dog, a kerosene tin and two villains whose prank backfired. \u00a0Best told over a glass or two of that \u00a0Eloquesta Shiraz Petit Verdot \u00a02009.<\/p>\n
