Oasis Overland, an adventure travel company specialising in worldwide overland trips, is launching a brand new website today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new site has been given a more vibrant look with clear graphics and photo galleries to inspire prospective adventurers to travel, explore and discover new places and cultures.\u00a0 More interactive features have been created with the ability to put together a wish-list and to hold a place on a trip before committing to making a booking.\u00a0 Gift vouchers are another new feature, enabling family and friends to make a financial contribution.\u00a0 All this is made easy with straightforward navigation and clear-cut, comprehensive information.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The site retains the down-to-earth feel and reflects the plain-speaking attitude of Oasis Overland, telling it like it is so that prospective travellers really know what to expect on an adventurous trip to developing countries.\u00a0 Those thinking of joining the 40 week Trans Africa expedition should take note \u2013 there are times when the going is ‘extremely tough – days of rough roads and harsh terrains and extremes of weather’!<\/p>\n

Less arduous but equally adventurous is Oasis Overland’s newest trip and one of the first Featured Trips on the new site.\u00a0 The Roof of Africa Overland Adventure is a 21 day journey through Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, travelling by overland truck from the legendary city of Carthage to Cairo’s Pyramids and Sphinx.\u00a0 In Libya, the route takes in WWII sites and Roman ruins, desert oases and deserted beaches, mountain villages and the ancient Greek city of Cyrene.\u00a0 Accommodation includes campsites, a troglodyte cave hotel and nights in the Sahara desert.<\/p>\n
