Spanning 32 categories, the NSW Tourism Awards celebrate the diverse and significant achievements of tourism operators, who collectively contribute billions of dollars to the state\u2019s economy.<\/span><\/div>\n

With the calibre of entrants taking the 2013 Awards program to new heights, winning gold is no mean feat. Paul von Bergen, Owner of Billabong Retreat, took out golds in the Award programs Unique Accommodation<\/b> and Health & wellbeing Tourism<\/b> categories and is thrilled to be the only business winning two golds.<\/span><\/div>\n

Congratulating all winners at the Gala Ceremony and Dinner, the Minister for Tourism and Major Events, George Souris, spoke of the key role the tourism industry plays in NSW\u2019s economy.<\/span><\/div>\n

Tourism is the lifeblood of many of our State\u2019s regional towns, and we are committed to promoting tourism in the regions, as well as supporting events that create local jobs, providing a boost to regional economies even further,\u201d said Minister Souris.<\/span><\/div>\n
