Wine will be very much on the lips of the people of Macau this week as the former Portuguese enclave celebrates its second annual – and largest – four-day wine and dine festival.<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Guests with a taste for fine reds and whites will be able to mill around Venetian Macao\u2019s vast outdoor lagoon and learn more about 100 or more international wine products, including labels from Italy, Portugal, South Africa and Australia.<\/span><\/div>\n
As many as 30 booths will be erected to offer the varieties, some offering culinary delights as a pairing for the wines.<\/span>\"Lagoon_WineDine\"<\/div>\n
In addition there will be wine appreciation courses as well as plenty of street and stage entertainment.<\/span><\/div>\n
Macau Wine and Dine Festival 2014 www.winedinemacau.com<\/a> will take place between March 20-23 against the backdrop of the spectacular integrated resort city on the famous Cotai Strip between Taipa and Coloane islands.<\/span><\/div>\n
Entry to the event will be free, with cash coupons and wine passes available for purchase. Cash coupons will cost less than A$2 (MOP\/HKD 10) with one wine pass priced at about A$16 (MOP\/HKD 100), including wine glass (to keep later as a memento) and 10 coupons.<\/span><\/div>\n
The festival will be supported by the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), the Institute for Tourism Studies, Macao (IFT), and the Macau Sommelier Association, organised by The Wine Society of Macau, established in 1995 and boasting a membership of over 200 wine connoisseurs, and sponsored by The Venetian Macao.<\/span><\/div>\n
Wine workshops will be arranged for various levels of proficiency \u2013 from entry level to master classes, with wine pairings, wine appreciation and vinification techniques available for guests to experience.<\/span><\/div>\n
The Wine School offers courses such as wine tasting of wines from Italy, Spain, South Africa and Portugal, and knowledge of wine pairing with Indian and Chinese cuisine etc.<\/span><\/div>\n
