The Tourism Authority of Thailand\u2019s (TAT) Trang Office, in cooperation with the Trang Tourism <\/span><\/p>\n

Council, is organising a seminar on professional tourism management with the aim of helping to prepare tourism operations in the province for the 2015 implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) blueprint.

<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cProfessional Tourism Management: Preparing for AEC Entry\u201d seminar is aimed at passing on marketing tactics and professional tourism management guidelines, as well teaching about new travel and tourism industry trends to hotels\"\"<\/a>, resorts, tour operators and any tourism-related businesses in the southern Thai provinces of Trang and Satun.<\/div>\n
Mr. Thawatchai Arunyik, TAT Governor said, \u201cThis seminar is in line with the TAT\u2019s current marketing strategies, which are aimed at forming a network of strategic partnerships within  the tourism industry, both locally and internationally, so that they can work together to enhance Thailand\u2019s competitiveness.\u201d<\/div>\n
The AEC blueprint includes policies designed to promote seamless travel options, trade and transportation between the 650 million people in South East Asia.<\/div>\n

TAT Governor added, \u201cAs Thailand is at the heart of this dynamic region, it is vital that we are also at the heart of its administration, so we have to work to enhance the competitiveness and competency of our local tourism operators to keep up with the expected increase in demand and competition over the next few years.\u201d<\/div>\n
The seminar will be held on 23 April, 2014, at the Reuratsada Hotel in\"\"<\/a> Trang from 13:30 \u2013 16:30 hrs. The event is open to any companies or organisations that work in travel and tourism in the provinces of Trang or Satun provinces, both of which are up and coming tourist destinations, attracting increasing numbers of tourists, both domestic and international.<\/div>\n

Located on the west coast of Thailand, Trang and Satun are popular destinations for family holidaymakers and for scuba divers. The provinces boast pristine islands blessed with white beaches, as well as undersea worlds of colourful coral and amazing marine life.<\/div>\n
The most popular islands of Satun include Ko Lipe, Ko Tarutao and Ko Bulone while in neighbouring Trang, the islands of Ko Muk and Ko Kradan are seen as the best places to visit.<\/div>\n
In terms of tourism development, Satun\u2019s Ko Lipe is currently being developed at a fast pace to improve its infrastructure and now boasts a wide range of accommodation\"\"<\/a> as well as fun things for tourists to do. One of the most popular activities for visitors is to take scuba diving trips to Ko Hin Ngam, Ko Rokloi, Ko Adang and Ko Rawi just off the Satun coast.<\/div>\n
Also on Trang, many packages for new tourists have been set up. Among the most popular of these is a day trip to the four most famous of Trang\u2019s islands including Ko Muk, Ko Kradan, Ko Chuek and Ko Ma.
