For its seventeenth year in a row, <\/span>The Rocks Aroma Festival <\/strong>is returning on <\/span>Sunday 27 July<\/span> <\/strong>this <\/span><\/span>
\"img-2\"year, with a program that is sure to impress anyone who cherishes a carefully roasted cup of coffee.<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Continuing to satisfy and delight the insatiable taste for quality coffee shared by Sydneysiders, the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority<\/strong> have extended the event this year to last for four weeks leading up to the Aroma Festival day.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
CEO of Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, Catherine Gallagher praised the work that goes into the festival year after year, \u201cIt\u2019s wonderful that Aroma brings so many people to The Rocks. The Authority is successful at creating events that encourage people to visit The Rocks, and Aroma has been doing that for seventeen years now.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

\"img-3\"Workshops this year have been curated in association with Australasian Speciality Coffee Association (AASCA) and cover every facet of coffee adoration, from the Appreciation Course to Alternative Slow Brew Methods, Cupping 101 to Latte Art and the Science of Espresso. For the sweet tooths among us, there will also be the delectable \u2018Chocolate \u2013 Bean to Bar\u2019 workshop.<\/span><\/div>\n

Throughout the month of July up until the day of the festival, The Rocks Square will be transformed into a handmade coffee garden haven.  The \u2018Behind Closed Doors\u2019 historic caf\u00e9 tours of The Rocks will start from here and offer an insight into the hidden, curious historic caf\u00e9s and restaurants of The Rocks.<\/span><\/div>\n

\"img-4\"As part of the NAIDOC week program, there will be free bush tucker talks in The Rocks coffee garden. In Cleland Bond, there will be a \u2018Bean to Cup\u2019 display, presenting coffee roasting, hulling and sorting equipment, also made possible in association with AASCA.<\/span><\/div>\n

Ms Gallagher considers Aroma as a favourite on The Rocks\u2019 annual calendar of events, \u201cSydney Harbour Foreshore Authority is very proud to showcase Sydney\u2019s love of coffee at the Aroma Festival in The Rocks. It\u2019s great to see it grow every year. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the foreshore to enjoy what has become one of Sydney\u2019s most popular events,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/div>\n

\"img-1\"As in past years, the Aroma Festival will once again give curious guests the chance to sample different roasts and brews to their hearts\u2019 content. This year will feature over 65 stalls of coffee roasters, tea, domestic coffee machines and delicious fine foods that taste great with coffee. These can be savoured while also discovering all that The Rocks Markets has to offer, music and more. Witness the delicate precision of latt\u00e9 art, and contribute a little piece to a sculpture made up of 1000 stories on 1000 coffee cups.<\/span><\/div>\n

Due to popular demand, returning for its second year is the Aroma Cup, where The Rocks caf\u00e9s, with their variety of rich blends, barista techniques and carefully curated coffee froth signatures, will compete throughout the month of July to win the most coveted title of best coffee experience of the Festival. This will be judged by industry specialists as well as a people\u2019s choice. Customers can sample the caffeine delights throughout July in any of The Rocks caf\u00e9s and vote with their taste buds.<\/span><\/div>\n
