Businesses and food vendors whose stalls illegally impeded on the beach, were ordered to cease trading and take down their work-places so as to improve the look of Hua Hin and to ensure fair pricing. <\/span><\/div>\n

Businesses on the nearby Takiap and Hua Don Beaches have also started clearing away their stalls.<\/span><\/div>\n

Officials and city cleaners helped with the clean-up and the vendors were assigned new areas to conduct business a little further away from the main beach. All vendors will now have to follow strict guidelines regarding cleanliness, hygiene and pricing.<\/span><\/div>\n

These beach clean-ups have been arranged by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to improve the image of Thailand and to ensure that all travellers enjoy hassle-free fun when visiting the kingdom\u2019s attractions.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) lauds the move as being great news for Hua Hin, a sleepy town that is the epitome of a Thai seaside resort and for decades has attracted tourists seeking family fun.<\/span><\/div>\n

TAT Governor Mr. Thawatchai Arunyik, said \u201cNow that international travellers have discovered its charms, we need this clean-up to return Hua Hin Beach to its pristine state and reassure visitors that they can enjoy it without hindrance. The so many new attractions and activities to be found around Hua Hin make this seaside resort the perfect place for a few days of peaceful fun.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

Hua Hin has long been Bangkok\u2019s weekend retreat and a home-from-home for the Royal Family. Now that the town is known internationally, many new attractions and annual festivals have opened up in the area.<\/span><\/div>\n

As well as the annual Jazz Festival<\/strong> which is fast becoming an international fixture for music<\/strong> lovers, Hua Hin boasts the Cicada Market<\/strong>, which attracts artists and creative people selling unique wares; the Sam Phan Nam Floating Market<\/strong> which recreates the feel of a traditional Siamese market with shops and atmospheric shows, and the charming Hua Hin Hills Vineyard<\/strong> which takes advantage of the ideal climatic conditions around the region to grow increasingly appreciated world-class wines and offer educational tours to visitors.<\/span><\/div>\n

In addition, there are many world-class hotels<\/strong> in the small town that boast the best of Thai hospitality and chic modern luxury living.
