Thai tourism entities won a total of nine honours at the TTG Travel Awards 2014 as the annual event celebrated its Silver Jubilee with 82 of the Asia-Pacific\u2019s best and brightest organisations and individuals.<\/span><\/span>

Thailand\u2019s national carrier, Thai Airways International<\/strong> (THAI) won two awards, being recognised as the Best South-East Asian Airline<\/strong> in the Airline Awards category. In addition, THAI was crowned the Best Airline \u2013 Business Class <\/strong>in the BT-MICE Awards category, which also recognised the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau<\/strong> as the Best Convention and Exhibition Bureau<\/strong>, and the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangko<\/strong>k as the Best Business Hotel<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n

In the Hotels \u2013 Individual Property category, Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok<\/strong> was crowned the Best City Hotel \u2013 Bangkok<\/strong> while in the Travel Agency category, Asian Trails<\/strong> was named the Best Travel Agency Thailand<\/strong>. The long-time pride of Thailand, the Royal Cliff Hotels Group \u2013 the State of Exclusivity and Fascination<\/strong> presented the country prominently in the Hall of Fame<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n

Amid strong competition, two of Thailand\u2019s tourism organisations have made their way into the TTG Travel Awards as first-time winners. Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas Hua Hin<\/strong> was named the Best Beach Resort<\/strong> in the Resorts \u2013 Individual Property category. Bringing another pride to Thailand is the Centara Hotels and Resorts<\/strong>, which was named the Sustainable Travel Company of the Year<\/strong>, a new honour in the Outstanding Achievement Awards category.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) joined the Asia-Pacific\u2019s travel industry in congratulating all 82 winners at the 25th<\/sup> TTG Travel Awards 2014 Ceremony and Gala Dinner on 2 October, 2014, at the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld in Bangkok.<\/span><\/div>\n

Mr. Sugree Sithivanich, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications of the TAT, presided over the Award\u2019s ceremony and handed out awards to winners of the Travel Agency Awards, Travel Services Awards, BT-Mice Awards and Airline Awards, alongside TTG Asia Media\u2019s Managing Director, Mr. Darren Ng.<\/span><\/div>\n
