\nThe new \u2018Memories and Whales\u2019 tour offered by Australian eco operator, Majestic Whale Encounters, starts on\u00a0July 31, 2014, with guests staying in beachside fales on the remote coral isle of Foa in Tonga\u2019s Ha\u2019apai group of islands, 40 minutes north by air from the kingdom\u2019s capital,\u00a0Nuku\u2019alofa.<\/span>\"Majestic\n<\/div>\n
The itinerary includes seven nights\u2019 accommodation at the seaside Sandy Beach Resort, one-night at the Scenic Hotel near Nuku\u2019alofa\u2019s international airport on Tongatapu, a welcome dinner, daily breakfast and lunch, five days of guided, boat-based, whale swimming, snorkelling gear, inter-island flights and transfers and is available from A$3400 per person, twin-share \u2013 a saving of $400 per couple off the normal price.<\/span><\/div>\n
Flights to Tonga from Australia (5 hours direct) with Virgin Australia or from New Zealand with Air New Zealand and Virgin are extra.<\/span><\/div>\n

The small group tours offered by Majestic Whales Encounters enable swimmers to enjoy intimate interludes with the majestic 19m-long mammals, which migrate to Tonga from Antarctica each year to calve. All swims adhere to safe, non-invasive guidelines set by the Responsible Partnership for Whale Watching.<\/span><\/div>\n
