OnMonday 12 January,\u00a0<\/strong>Federer will entertain tennis lovers at an exclusive exhibition match against his friend and on-court rival\u00a0Hewitt,\u00a0<\/strong>at Qantas Credit Union Arena playing a world-first format of tennis known as\u00a0Fast4<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n
Federer and Hewitt will face off in a best-of-five sets match in this world premier event that will be played in support of the Australian Tennis Foundation.<\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cI can’t wait to come to the beautiful city of Sydney for this very special match against my old friend and rival, Lleyton Hewitt,\u201d Federer said. \u201cWe’ve had some amazing battles over the years and I think we still bring out the best in each other every time we play.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

Fast4 is a revolutionary, fun, shortened format of tennis with four points, four games and four rules. Designed to appeal to even the most time-pressed players, this fresh and funky new game changer will be launched exclusively on Sydney Harbour followed by matches at Qantas Credit Union Arena (formerly known as Sydney Entertainment Centre).<\/span><\/div>\n

Named Fast4, there are four rules:<\/span><\/div>\n

  1. The First to four games wins<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. No lets<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Tiebreaker at three games all \u2013 first to five points<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. No ad (advantage) scoring<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    “I’m looking forward to help launch this new fast format of tennis, especially in Sydney,\u201d Lleyton Hewitt said. \u201cI love the city and it’s been a while since I’ve played here, so it will be great to do so in January.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

    One night with Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt<\/strong>\u00a0will also feature an entertaining Legends doubles match between Wimbledon champion\u00a0Pat Cash<\/strong>, ‘the magician’\u00a0Fabrice Santoro<\/strong>\u00a0and the hilarious pair of\u00a0Henri Leconte<\/strong>, andMansour Bahrami<\/strong>. All four, along with\u00a0John McEnroe<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Pat Rafter<\/strong>, will also be in action in the Legends event at the\u00a0Apia International Sydney 2015<\/strong>, being played at\u00a0Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a011-17 January<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n
