<\/span><\/b>After a closure of more than four years, the Formule 1 Windsor hotel on busy Lutwyche Road in Brisbane’s Northern suburbs will finally reopen tomorrow (April 1) \u2013 complete with a fresh new look and Ibis Budget re-brand.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

The Lutwyche Road hotel, part of Australia’s largest accommodation group Accor, was forced to close in August 2009 due to construction and the associated noise and access issues associated with the Inner City Bypass connecting the CBD to the Brisbane Airport precinct.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

Chris Sedgwick, Vice President Operations Queensland & Northern Territory for Accor, said, “Work has now concluded on renovating the hotel, and we’re excited to be officially opening on the 1st<\/sup> of April 2014. <\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

“Despite the hotel’s April Fool’s Day relaunch, Accor is nothing but serious about showcasing the hotel in a fresh new light after so many years of being closed, and we’re very excited about the rebranding. We’re looking forward to waving good bye to Formule 1 and welcoming the hotel back into the Accor fold as the 20th<\/sup> Ibis Budget hotel in our Australian network.” <\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

The hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment with all 50 guest rooms now converted to the latest Cocoon style room designed exclusively for the Ibis Budget Brand worldwide offering up\u00a0 25 Queen Rooms, 10 King rooms, 13 Queen Rooms with overhead bunks and two special access rooms.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

The hotel’s lobby and public areas have also been refurbished to bright and welcoming Ibis Family AVANZI design (see image attached).<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

The makeover and rebrand of this hotel to the Ibis Budget brand conveys Accor’s confidence not only in the Brisbane economy, but the revolutionised economy hotel sector at large.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n
