Faraway Bay, The Bush Camp is staging its Kimberley Art Camp, May 1-5, 2010.<\/p>\n

The Art Camp provides guests with a unique opportunity to improve their art skills and be inspired by the pristine Kimberley wilderness.<\/p>\n

Led by renowned Broome-based artist Ingrid Windram, the Art Camp is designed for people at all levels of artistic endeavour.<\/p>\n

“It’s about creating an art atmosphere and immersing guests in the Kimberley environment,” said Ms Windram.<\/p>\n

“The landscape is absolutely amazing \u2013 just to stand there and be surrounded by the colours of the remote Kimberley is inspiring.”<\/p>\n

Faraway Bay owner Robyn Ellison said the Art Camp would appeal to anyone who’s interested in art as a hobby, or those who are more advanced.<\/p>\n

“We’ll be supplying basic equipment, water-colours and charcoals; and Ingrid will be on hand to encourage, motivate and inspire,” said Mrs Ellison.<\/p>\n

The Art Camp will involve guided field trips and bush walks into the area surrounding Faraway Bay, as well as informal lessons in the open-air Eagle Lodge.<\/p>\n

Perched on a headland overlooking the tranquil waters of Faraway Bay, Eagle Lodge is a spectacular setting which combines lounging, croc-spotting and day dreaming, all in one dramatic location.<\/p>\n

Best known for her art works depicting the Kimberley region, Ingrid is one of Australia’s most prolific and successful modern artists with her paintings represented in many corporate and private collections here and overseas.<\/p>\n

From her galleries and studios in Broome and Perth, Ingrid has created a huge body of work, most of which depicts the Kimberley. <\/p>\n

The Art Camp program offers a fantastic combination of activity and relaxation.\u00a0 The laid back and informal flavour allows guests to be as hands on as they please.\u00a0 There’s also plenty of time for excursions and activities including boating to the magnificent twin falls on the King George River, fishing and exploring ancient rock art.<\/p>\n

The Kimberley Art Camp consists of a four-day all-inclusive experience for 12 guests.\u00a0 The package covers air transfers from Kununurra, the Art Camp and all activities, as well as meals and beverages.<\/p>\n
