Brisbane Airport Corporation has taken out the\u00a0<\/span>Energex Award for Sustainability in Business\u00a0<\/b>at the 2013 Lord Mayor\u2019s Business Awards at City Hall on Friday night.<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe awards celebrate the achievements and contribution made by our business community and companies like Brisbane Airport Corporation to Brisbane\u2019s $135 billion economy,\u201d said Lord Mayor Graham Quirk.<\/span><\/div>\n

\n\"IMG_6552\"\u201cThe judges were particularly impressed with Brisbane Airport Corporation\u2019s commitment to sustainability across all levels of business; from a personal level through to clients and customers.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAs the operators of the third largest airport in Australia by passenger numbers it is a company that continues to innovate and drive growth.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cBrisbane Airport Corporation is funding more than $2.5 billion worth of infrastructure over the next 10 years. At the same time they strive to balance economic benefits with environmental impacts.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cReceiving the Energex Award for Sustainability in the 2013 Lord Mayor\u2019s Business Awards is unquestionably a wonderful recognition for what the team at Brisbane Airport has been working on and striving for to date,\u201d Ms Alroe said.<\/span><\/div>\n
