Adventure tourism leader AJ Hackett Bungy marks 25 years of Bungy next month and is celebrating by offering one lucky Kiwi or Aussie \u2013 and a partner or friend – the chance to join the party with a trip of a lifetime prize to Queenstown.<\/span><\/span>

Launching today\u00a0(October 17),<\/b>\u00a0the iconic tourism company is inviting Kiwis and Aussies to film a one-minute video or submit a 150 word blog outlining what they would do to win the \u2018Ultimate Queenstown Getaway\u2019 to join the team to celebrate\u00a0AJ Hackett Bungy\u2019s 25th<\/sup>\u00a0Birthday<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n

The competition prize includes return flights to Queenstown, courtesy of Air New Zealand, from any major city in New Zealand or Australia, four nights\u2019 accommodation in a lake view room at the\u00a0Crowne Plaza<\/a>, the opportunity to experience\u00a0AJ Hackett Bungy Queenstown\u2019s activities<\/a>\u00a0including the Kawarau Bridge Bungy, Kawarau Zipride, Ledge Bungy, Ledge Swing, Nevis Bungy and Nevis Swing, one hour of power on a\u00a0Jet boat ride with KJet<\/a>, a ride up the\u00a0Skyline Gondola<\/a>, coupled with\u00a0Luge rides<\/a>\u00a0at the top of the hill, Go-Karting at\u00a0Highlands Motorsport Park<\/a>\u00a0in Cromwell, dinner at\u00a0Fergburger<\/a>\u00a0and a night on the town with the\u00a0Big Night Out Pub Crawl<\/a>\u00a0(all for two people).<\/span><\/div>\n

Over the last 25 years more than three million people have jumped at AJ Hackett Bungy sites around the world. Celebrity jumpers at the four New Zealand sites include David Beckham, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Jack Black, Tiger Woods, and comedian Billy Connelly – who famously jumped naked.<\/span><\/div>\n

From humble beginnings in\u00a01988\u00a0when AJ Hackett and Henry van Asch were first granted a temporary consent from the Department of Conservation to set up the world\u2019s first commercial bungy jumping operation at the bridge, AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand has become a world-renowned adventure tourism company recognised for its innovation, edgy company culture and constantly-evolving range of products.<\/span><\/div>\n

AJ Hackett Bungy co-founder and director Henry van Asch said seeing people \u201cpush themselves out of their comfort zone to Bungy\u201d was one of his favourite things about being involved with the company.<\/span><\/div>\n

On the day of the birthday,\u00a0November 12, students from local Queenstown primary and high schools will be joined by teachers and spectators to kick start celebrations at the Kawarau Bungy Centre.<\/span><\/div>\n

Throughout the day and into the night fun birthday activities will include bungy stunt jumps, a giant 25th<\/sup>\u00a0Birthday cake and an invite-only event in the evening for VIPs, media and staff.<\/span><\/div>\n
