Inside there\u2019s a handsome wooden bar, with a vase of fresh cut flowers at one end. \u201cWhat\u2019ll you have?\u201d says the friendly barman, reaching for a glass so clean that it glitters in the later afternoon sunlight. \u201cHow about trying our local brew \u2013 they do a very nice pale ale?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This story may sound like the ravings of cretin, but the pub is real (details later) and the beer was as good as the barman promised it would be.
