The tea is available from June 1 2010 until the end of the tournament and offers flavoured shortbread biscuits shaped as some of Wimbledon\u2019s most iconic images \u2013 tennis rackets, tennis balls, centre net and strawberries; all resting on top of an edible green lawn court.<\/p>\n<p>The distinct afternoon tea, served in the hotel\u2019s Mauve Lounge will treat takers of tea to a colourful miniature representation of the world renowned championships. Traditional finger sandwiches and home-baked scones with ubiquitous strawberry preserve are included on the tier of treats. Chocolate mint cups, pink champagne jelly, strawberry cream tarts and macaroons round off Swiss\u00f4tel The Howard, London\u2019s Wimbledon-inspired afternoon tea. All patisserie items are baked in-house and hand-finished with utmost precision by head chef Brian Spark and his pastry team.<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon tea set is accompanied by a pot of Twinings tea, or a thirst-quenching jug of Pimms at an additional cost.
