Within weeks of Sir Michael Hill introducing the latest residents to his sculpture collection at world champion golf course The Hills in Queenstown, New Zealand, the snow descended giving these pretty ponies a new coat for the winter season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Titled \u201cThe Frolic and the Fancy\u201d, these 5 stunning creatures\u00a0were created by sculptor\u00a0Max Patte the head of sculpture at Wellington\u2019s\u00a0Weta Workshop and who has\u00a0in recent times worked on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies.The sculptures stand a mighty\u00a02.7metres tall and weigh 1.5tonnes set in cast iron. A medium that will evolve and change in the weather overtime to give them as Patte\u00a0says, \u201ctheir own unique story\u201d.<\/div>\n

Another highlight of the weather in New Zealand is that the ski season is just around the corner. Coronet Peak has been blanketed with snow and is set to open on\u00a08 June. Other ski fields aren\u2019t\u00a0far behind with Mt. Dobson in McKenzie and Mt. Hutt in Canterbury due to open on\u00a012 and 15 June\u00a0respectively. All fields are ready to create a magical winter holiday for Australian travellers.<\/div>\n
