Love is in the air and romance is on the runway, as the program for the 2013<\/span>Mercedes-Benz FashionFestival Brisbane<\/b>\u00a0is unveiled today.<\/span>

For the first time in its eight year history, the Fashion Festival will present a\u00a0Bridal Group Show<\/b>alongside an exciting line-up of the best local, national and international designers, all presenting their new season collections.<\/div>\n

\n\"Hero-MBFF13\"Returning to the newly refurbishedCity Hall after a three-year absence the Fashion Festival will, in another first, stage all seven runway shows and the closing night\u2019s decadently-themedHighlights Parade\u00a0in the round.<\/i>\n<\/div>\n

Majorfashion names such as\u00a0Easton Pearson, Lee Mathews, Ginger & Smart<\/b>and\u00a0Akira<\/b>will joinQueenslandfavouritesincludingDarb Couture, Lisa Brown, Gail Sorronda, Tengdahl, Maiocchi<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Sacha Drake<\/b>topresent their Spring\/Summer collections on a custom-built circular runway, to complement the striking restyling of City Hall\u2019s main auditorium.<\/div>\n

\nMyer<\/b>will also take to the Fashion Festival runway for the second consecutive year,opening the Festival with a showcase of the latest collections from their stable of renowned Australian designers including\u00a0Jayson Brunsdon, sass & bide, Wayne Cooper, Toni Maticevski, Arthur Galan AG<\/b>and more.<\/div>\n

Couture kingPaul Hunt<\/b>\u00a0will celebrate his label\u2019s 10th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary by closing the Fashion Festival with a flourish on Thursday, 29 August, in a move that highlights the refreshed timeline of the new program. Paul is one of the stalwarts of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane, gracing the runway every year since the inaugural event in 2006, and is a constant crowd favourite.<\/div>\n

These fashion heavyweights will share the in-the-round runway with a fresh line-up of emerging designers, and a new design competition will unearth the most promising up-and-coming fashion talent from Queensland\u2019s top six fashion colleges.<\/div>\n

This year the Fashion Festival is thrilled to welcome back its naming-rights sponsor,\u00a0Mercedes-Benz<\/b>, whose continued support ensures the success of Queensland\u2019s premier fashion event.<\/div>\n
