Stokehouse will host this unique Winemakers Dinner in collaboration with three of Victoria\u2019s most renowned brands, Jamsheed, Hoddles Creek and Mayer.<\/span><\/span><br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Stokehouse\" data-mce-src=\"http:\/\/www.eglobaltravelmedia.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Stokehouse-.jpg\" height=\"213\" src=\"http:\/\/www.eglobaltravelmedia.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Stokehouse-.jpg\" width=\"320\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<span><span><br \/><\/span><\/span><span>The Yarra Valley Winemakers Dinner at Stokehouse on\u00a0<\/span><b>Tuesday, 25 June<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>promises to be a food and wine fanatic\u2019s dream, offering guests an indulgent, five-course dinner with matched wines for just $130 per person.<\/span><\/p>\n<div><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Winemaker Gary Mills, or \u201cMillsy\u201d as his friends know him, creates some of the Valley\u2019s most interesting wines, with a focus on single-vineyard Syrahs and aromatic whites from some of Victoria\u2019s most unique sites. He crafts each varietal into beautiful expressions of the vineyards, giving wine enthusiasts a true taste of the Yarra Valley.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Hoddles Creek Estate is a family owned and run winery, led by Franco D\u2019Anna. Planted on steeply sloped blocks of land in the Upper Yarra Valley, the vineyards must be pruned and harvested by hand. Each Hoddles Creek wine, from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc to Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc is single-vineyard, producing wines that are pure, fine and always perfectly balanced.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Mayer winery is a small producer that\u2019s all about personality, creating wines with a point of difference and a true reflection of their site. Timo Mayer\u2019s philosophy is \u2018bring back the funk!\u2019 and his winemaking process interferes as little as possible with the natural flavour and state of each variety. From his \u2018Bloody Hill\u2019 Chardonnay to \u2018Big Betty\u2019 Shiraz, wine dinner guests are in for a truly exceptional experience.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Gary Mills, Franco D\u2019Anna and Timo Mayer will bring their expertise and unique, characteristic wines to Stokehouse, giving guests the opportunity to sample some of the Yarra Valley\u2019s finest. The wines will be paired with a delicious, five-course dinner designed by Head Chef Richard Ousby, to complement and enhance each wine variety.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>On arrival, enjoy a\u00a0<i>Crudo of Kingfish\u00a0<\/i>appetiser along with\u00a0<i>Hoddles Creek Blanc de Blanc 2010<\/i>; then, after being seated for dinner, the first entr\u00e9e of\u00a0<i>Citrus cured ocean trout, horseradish, organic radish, cr\u00e8me fraiche<\/i>with\u00a0<i>Jamsheed Westgate Riesling 2010<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Mayer Bloody Hill Chardonnay 2012.<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div><i><span><br \/><\/span><\/i><\/div>\n<div><span>This will be followed by a second entr\u00e9e of\u00a0<i>McLeay Valley rabbit, gnocchi, sage, brown butter, guanciale<\/i>, complemented by\u00a0<i>Mayer Dr Mayer Riesling 2011and Hoddles Creek 1er Pinot Blanc 2012<\/i>.
