Their adopted mother is a picker on one of the farms and walks an hour to and from work each day with the children to earn an income. They live in a small tin shed with dirt for floor, no running water or cooking facilities. The fund has already gathered the support of the coffee industry and raised an initial $50,000 to go into the family\u2019s education, with further funds to assist with infrastructure at the family\u2019s home and community. They hope that making this small change to the community will inspire others to take action themselves.
