The first of more than 18,000 whales are now travelling along Port Stephens\u2019 \u2018Humpback Highway\u2019 and to help visitors witness the spectacular winter migration, the new Marty\u2019s at Little Beach is offering a \u2018Winter Warmer\u2019 accommodation package that includes a whale-watching cruise, woollen beanies, a thermos of coffee and Tims Tams\u00a0 to take on the cruise.<\/span>

Nestled between two of Port Stephen\u2019s most idyllic bay beaches \u2013 Shoal Bay Beach and Little Beach near Nelson Bay – Marty\u2019s at Little Beach offers 15 deluxe, self-contained apartments, a swimming pool, free wi-fi, plasma TV, Foxtel, balcony and poolside barbecue.<\/div>\n
Marty\u2019s new \u2018Winter Warmer Whale Watch\u2019 package is available from $290 per couple midweek (Sunday to Thursday night) or from $340 for weekends (Friday and Saturday) and includes two night\u2019s accommodation, a 2.5-hour whale-watching cruise off Port Stephens with Imagine Cruises and two woollen beanies, a thermos of coffee or tea and Tim Tams to take on the cruise. The deal is valid from June 1 to August 31, 2013.<\/div>\n

The package is also available for families from $470 midweek or from $500 on weekends including two nights\u2019 accommodation in an executive two-bedroom apartment for two adults and two children aged two to 16, four whale-watching cruise tickets, four beanies and enough hot chocolate, coffee and Tin Tams to keep the clan warm and snug at sea.<\/div>\n

Situated 2\u00bd hours north of Sydney, Port Stephens and its marine park sit right next to the migration path of the humpback whales. Dubbed the \u2018Humpback Highway\u2019, the route is used by more than 18,000, 50-tonne humpback whales each year as they migrate north up the coast to breed and then return back to Antarctic waters later in the year. The number of whales seen off Port Stephens is increasing by around 10 per cent a year.<\/div>\n
