Nok Air today welcomed Scoot to Don Mueang International Airport as the Singapore carrier moved its operations from Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

A welcome event was held at Don Mueang to celebrate Scoot’s official arrival at Bangkok’s ‘downtown airport’.

The move to Don Mueang also coincides with the launch of an interline arrangement between the two airlines, enabling guests to fly using a single itinerary on both Scoot and Nok Air.

The partnership extends beyond the interline service as Nok Air will handle Scoot’s ground operations at Don Mueang International Airport.

“The interline service between Nok Air and Scoot will offer passengers access to Nok Air’s extensive domestic coverage, and Scoot’s extensive international network. Passengers on Nok Air can connect to Scoot’s international flights, and international passengers can connect on Nok Air to any destination within Thailand. This will allow more international passengers to visit different parts of Thailand with more ease and comfort with just one single booking,” states Patee Sarasin, CEO of Nok Air.

Said Campbell Wilson, CEO of Scoot, “Scoot has just celebrated carrying half a million guests to Thailand, and today’s move to Don Mueang, Bangkok’s downtown airport, is another great milestone. Not only is it a significant step in our partnership with Nok, it’s fantastic news for our guests: being much closer to the Bangkok city centre, Don Mueang means a faster trip into town and, being Nok’s home-base, it enables us to offer seamless connections to and from 21 Thai destinations. Ultimately, when combined with Scoot’s unbeatable value airfares – including to Nok’s Thai destinations – Don Mueang gives our guests even more reason to get outta here!”
