Star Clippers fleet of three luxury clipper ships will offer a record 85 European itineraries in 2014, sailing to many exotic ports in the Mediterranean untouched by large passengers liners.
The wide-ranging cruise program will include Portugal, Spain and the Balearic Islands, Morocco, France, Monaco, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, the Greek Islands and Tunisia.
The 134 m 227-passenger flagship Royal Clipper, the only five-masted full-rigged (42 sails) passenger sailing ship in the world, will start its 2014 European summer season on April 28 with a five-night cruise from Malaga to Rome.

It will then offer mostly seven-night cruises (some 10 and 11 nights) covering the Amalfi Coast and Sicily; Italy, Montenegro and Croatia, and a season-ending 12-night sailing from Rome to Lisbon via Spain and Morocco on October 25.
The slightly smaller sister ships Star Flyer and Star Clipper (115m and 170 guests) will sail to scores of destinations from embarkation ports including Lisbon, Malaga, Monte Carlo, Palma (Majorca), Cannes, Malta, Athens, Istanbul and Venice.
Some early bookings (made by January 31, 2014)offer discounts up to 35%. Seven-night cruises cost around $2885 including port taxes, all meals and entertainment on board.
Currently, Royal Clipper and Star Clipper are sailing in the Mediterranean and Star Flyer is in the Baltic and Scandinavia. Later this year all three ships will make Transatlantic crossings for a season in the Caribbean, Costa Rica, the Panama Canal and Cuba, returning to Europe in April 2014.
