Fiji Airways, Fiji’s National Airline, is pleased to announce that it will surpass 1 million international passengers for the calendar year for the first time in its 63-year history. One lucky passenger on a Fiji Airways flight from Nadi on December 20th will be awarded a one millionth passenger commemoration as a lasting souvenir, together with a return ticket to the destination of his or her choice.
Stefan Pichler, Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO stated: “We’re delighted to hit the one millionth passenger mark for the first time ever for Fiji Airways’ international flights. It’s a great reflection of the hard work done by our team to increase passenger numbers and revenue. And next year will be even better, as we will offer nearly 1.4 million seats on Fiji Airways. So, at our current load factor of around 85%, we will be able to accommodate around 1.3 million guests on our flights to and from Fiji.”
Mr Pichler added: “This news of course means that 2014 will be the highest number of international passengers flown in our history. It will also be the year with the highest load factor in our history. And certainly a stellar year for the best ever profit in our history. This is good news for all of our staff, our shareholders, our customers and for the Fijian people.”
