Cruise off the Turkish Coast on April 25, 2015, and visit Anzac Cove and Gallipoli the next day.

It’s not too late for Australians to be at Gallipoli in April, 2015, 100 years since the Gallipoli landings, with Cruise Express offering bonuses for bookings of its special ‘Spirit of the Mediterranean’ cruise package made before November 10, 2014.

The bonuses include a US$300 per stateroom onboard spending credit or classic onboard drinks package for bookings made in ocean-view or balcony staterooms before November 10. Conditions apply.

Departing Australia on April 19, 2015, the 16-night itinerary begins with a flight from Australia to Rome for two nights’ accommodation in the five-star Boscolo Palace Hotel, daily breakfast and a half-day tour including The Vatican, Trevi Fountain and The Colosseum.

From Rome, guests then board the 2038-passenger superliner, Celebrity Constellation, for a 12-night Mediterranean cruise which will see the ship cruise the waters off the Turkish coast at dawn on April 25, 2015, with the official dawn service ashore broadcast onboard the liner. Australian war historian, Peter Donovan, will provide presentations on the Anzac legend during the cruise.

The cruise then heads to the temples and bazaars of Istanbul, the ancient Greek city of Athens, the white-washed, cliff-top villages of Santorini and the home of pizza, Naples, before returning to Rome.

Including return flights, the 12-night cruise on Celebrity Constellation, transfers in Rome, two nights’ accommodation with breakfast, welcome dinner and half day tour of Rome and full day tour of Gallipoli, the ‘Legends of the Mediterranean’ holiday package is available from $6590 per person, twin-share, in an ocean-view stateroom.
