Orion II cruises cancelled *updated*

Correction: Earlier reports said Orion II will go into dry dock in Singapore. The cruise line have advised me this is not the case and that all repairs will be undertaken while tied up to the wharf. Orion are keen to reassure clients and partners that no hull damage occurred during the recent Borneo incident.

ORION Expedition Cruises is currently contacting passengers to advise them of the cancellation of two upcoming Orion II itineraries: the 10 Oct Gulf of Siam voyage and 17 Oct Thailand Temples cruise.

The cancellations follow the recent grounding of Orion II into soft mud (CW 22 Sep), and will make time for the vessel to go to Singapore to fix technical glitches and problems with the ship’s airconditioning.
