Tourism Australia’s new global advertising campaign will urge travellers to “come walkabout” in Australia, Travel Today can exclusively reveal.
The new tagline, which replaces the controversial ‘Where the Bloody Hell Are You?’, is the centrepiece of Tourism Australia’s new $50 million advertising campaign, launched in conjunction with the new Baz Luhrmann film Australia. The campaign will run through to the middle of next year across television, cinema, print and online platforms.
It includes two short, film-style advertisements – one catering to eastern markets and one to western markets. The advertisements feature two couples – one in Japan and one in New York – looking to escape their daily lives and rediscover “romance” in Australia.
