Over 90,000 subscribers to the world's premier travel magazine can't be wrong!
For the fourth year running, readers of Travel + Leisure magazine in
the US have voted Voyages Lizard Island as the No. 1 hotel in
Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
 The property's 91.82 rating also meant it was one of the Top 10 hotels in the world (9th).
The prestigious T+L 500 is composed of the 500 hotels that receive the
highest overall ratings - those that have a demonstrated track record
of excellence - from Travel + Leisure readers in their annual "World's
Best Awards" survey.
Travel + Leisure readers are among the most sophisticated, passionate
and discerning travellers in the world. The survey asks them to rate
properties on five characteristics: rooms/facilities, location,
service, restaurants/food, and value. Overall scores are an indexed
average of evaluations concerning these characteristics with Voyages
Lizard Island receiving an overall score of 91.82
The T+L 500 is considered the ultimate hotel guide and features
exclusive information such as the overall score each property received
from readers, what differentiates it from its competitors, which rooms
to book, and amenities and services not to be missed.
According to Voyages' Executive General Manager Sales & Marketing
Nick Baker, one of the things that make this prestigious accolade so
special is that it came from the magazine's readers: people who had
actually stayed at the resort.
"Voyages Lizard Island epitomises the best Australia (and Voyages) has
to offer - 24 incredible beaches, world-class diving on the Great
Barrier Reef and adrenaline charged big game fishing. Add to that the
sheer class and indomitable style of a world class resort with a

When compared to the rest of the world, Voyages Lizard Island was the only Australian property rated in the Top 10.
