LUXURY IN THE HEART OF A NATURAL PARADISE
EcoPoint is delighted to announce the launch of its second resort property, Myall Shores Resort. Myall Shores Resort is a picturesque resort situated in the midst of the Myall Lakes National Park on the shores of the Myall Lake. It is accessible via a car ferry, just a short drive from Tea Gardens on the NSW mid north Coast. The resort is situated just 3 hours out of the Sydney CBD and only an hour from Newcastle.
The resort has undergone a substantial renovation since joining the group, and will become one of EcoPoint’s flagship properties.
More than $10.3 million has been spent on the resort, with 62 brand new 4-star forest cabins and 2 presidential cabins installed on the site, as well as a new swimming pool, conference centre and extensive refurbishment of the current dining and general store areas.
Many of the new cabins are situated on absolute lake frontage, a couple of paces from the waters edge. A highlight of any visit will be just relaxing on the balcony or the beach, taking in the myriad of colours, sites and sounds that the location offers.
The new cabin rooms sleep up to six people and all feature eco friendly design and interiors, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchenette, DVD, flat screen TV, Austar, gas cooking facilities, and are serviced daily.
The resort also features 20 existing cabins, 47 powered caravan and camping sites and a facility for school and university groups with 24 bunkhouses capable of sleeping up to 5 people each.
Myall Shores Resort also offers a range of activities and nature based interpretive experiences that take in the best of the local area including bird life, history, and the stunning natural environment including internationally listed wetlands. While much of the Myall Lakes are accessible by car, much can only be reached using a boat; therefore the interpretive tours will take people to places they otherwise could not access.
EcoPoint has undertaken substantial environmental impact and National Park and Wildlife Service (NPWS) liaison to ensure that the resort is sensitive to the National Park location.
The NPWS and resort management have worked hand in hand on the renovations to ensure guidelines are followed to the letter.
According to EcoPoint Chief Executive Officer, Simon Brown, “we want to ensure that we address all environmental issues in order to maintain that this spectacular location remains perfect for future generations”.
“We would like to set an example of what a good operator can do in an environmentally sensitive area“, he said.
EcoPoint Resorts offer the opportunity to be rejuvenated and inspired in natural places. They provide quality, affordable, safe, environmentally sensitive resorts in strategic and historic national park, beachfront, harbour and lake locations – all in harmony with their surroundings.
