New Travelodge Hotel for Newcastle
Toga
Hospitality announces the acquisition of a new hotel in the heart of
Newcastle, on the spectacular Hunter Coast, NSW. Formerly the Capri
Plaza Hotel, the hotel will be re-branded as Travelodge Newcastle.
Travelodge Newcastle is the tenth Travelodge Hotel to be added to the
rapidly expanding portfolio. It will undergo a A$3 million
refurbishment to meet the expectations of the Travelodge guests and
continue to offer comfort and quality at unbeatable value.
The purchase of The Capri Plaza Hotel was a joint venture between JF
Meridian and NRMA and will be operated by Toga Hospitality from 1
February, 2006. Travelodge Hotels now offer 1,750 rooms across 10
hotels in Australia and is in line with Toga Hospitality's growth
strategy across Australia.

As its name suggests, Travelodge Newcastle is located in the heart of
Newcastle, opposite the Market Town Shopping Centre on King Street.

getaway.
