A SCANDINAVIAN INTERLUDE AND BEYOND

interlude tours has planned a fully escorted 30 day expedition, travelling through Denmark and Norway in Scandinavia as well as The Netherlands, Germany, and France with an optional stay over in Northern Thailand. Departure is 24th August, returning 22nd September 2006.

The Scandinavian tour for 2006 begins in wonderful Copenhagen, now home of our Princess Mary. From here, the group will cruise on a 5 star luxury liner overnight to Oslo. The next 15 days are in Norway, famous for its beautiful scenery and spectacular fjords. Travelling in luxury air-conditioned nine-seater mini coaches, the traveller will experience the ski fields at Geilo, Lake Hornindal and the fjord scenery around Geiranger. After crossing many fjords by ferry, it is on to Bergen for three nights.

From Bergen onto Ribe in Denmark, a Viking town where accommodation is in a hotel built in 1581. Next stop is the historic fishing village of Enkhuizen in the Netherlands via Wilhelmshaven in Germany. There is an opportunity to explore this charismatic old port and the cobble stoned streets along the waters edge. Amsterdam is a one-hour train ride away and guests are welcome to visit if they desire. Entering France, travel through the battlefields of the Somme to Peronne then the final stop on this amazing trip is Paris where there is always so much to see and do.

Priced at $10,795 per person twin share. The tour includes return airfares with Thai International, transfers and air-conditioned transport, quality twin share accommodation, all breakfasts, plus many dinners and local guided tours.

There is an optional four night stopover in Northern Thailand, the perfect relaxing finale for travellers.  We visit the Tamann Elephant Camp, a Thai orchid nursery and have the option to join in Thai cooking classes or have a traditional Thai massage. The four night Relax-a-while in Northern Thailand is priced at $515 pp twin share.
