There's only FIVE days to go until Darling Harbour's fabulous New Year's Eve party kicks off.  Celebrate the last hours of 2005 with FREE live music, children's performers, groove meisters, jazz bands and two fantastic fireworks displays!

Darling Harbour's New Year's Eve entertainment for kids gets started on 31 December at 6pm at the Palm Grove stage with fun antics by George Washingmachine and Baby Cino who will entertain the kids with Caribbean-style songs and nursery rhymes.


Eon Beats Project will get the party started on the Aquashell floating stage at Cockle Bay from 8pm with their unique blend of funky sounds and groovy mixes.  DIG (Directions In Groove) will continue the party grooves with their combination of funky jazz, hip-hop, drum and bass and dub.


Internationally-renowned jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist James Morrison and his Quintet will have the whole of Darling Harbour moving with catchy tunes and swinging rhythms right up until midnight on the Aquashell.

Keep your party shoes on to Take a Walk on the Wild Side with the Jeff Duff Band as they ramp-up the party vibe and swing you into the New Year from 10.15pm until 1am at Palm Grove.

Cockle Bay will light up with a fantastic fireworks display at 9pm; and to mark the arrival of 2005, get set for the much-anticipated, spectacular fireworks display at midnight.

Don't forget about Darling Harbour's wide range of first-class restaurants and lively bars, which offer a great choice of venues for celebrating the big countdown at midnight.
