100 Things To Do In Australia Before You Die
What are the 100 essential things that locals AND overseas visitors should see and do in Australia in their lifetimes?
Australian Traveller Magazine is looking to answer this question, and
wants the tourism industry to help them. They are seeking nominations
for a special issue of Australian Traveller devoted solely to the "100
Things To Do In Australia Before You Die. " Nomination forms can be
found at www.australiantraveller.com/100things
Australian Traveller Editor Greg Barton says, "We're in the process of
assembling a panel of leading Australians to help us with this
initiative, but what we really need is to showcase to the rest of
Australia the tourism hotspots that aren't necessarily on the
mainstream tourism trail. We'll obviously cover some of the more iconic
destinations, but we're hoping to surprise our readers with experiences
they probably hadn't thought of."
Chairman of Tourism Australia the Honourable Tim Fischer has personally endorsed the project:
"As Chairman of Tourism Australia, I welcome this initiative and
related initiatives and hope that you may be able to assist the team at
Australian Traveller Magazine.
What we need from you are your nominations. If you are a custodian of a
piece of Australia that should be on their list, I urge you to get in
contact with the magazine's publishers. This is not a time consuming
process, but if you do not nominate an experience it simply will not be
included in their shortlist."
All tourism business are invited to submit nominations (preferably in
cooperation with their local Regional Tourism Marketing Organisation)
by December 17, 2005.
