See the World the Exotic Way – with Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises is offering passengers the opportunity to visit some of the most spectacular locations on earth - from Antarctica to the Amazon and Africa - in a series of special cruises sailing during 2006 and 2007.

Travellers will be able to explore the coastline of India, cruise the tranquil waters of Hawaii and Tahiti, visit the legendary Amazon River, discover the mysteries of Russia and China, or take in the wonders of South America and Antarctica on journeys ranging from seven to 29 days.

Dubbed the “Exotics” program, the cruises are featured in a new brochure just released by Princess Cruises, which gives Australian passengers a choice of almost 30 different itineraries to more than 150 memorable destinations across the seven continents.

The cruises will be operated by 10 of Princess’ impressive ships, including the 116,000-ton megaliner Sapphire Princess, the intimate 30,000-ton sister ships, Pacific Princess and Tahitian Princess, and the 109,000-ton Golden Princess, which will become the biggest ship ever to sail Antarctica.

Regardless of the ship’s size or destination, passengers on these exotic cruises can be assured they will enjoy the trademarks of Princess cruising, including friendly service, an abundance of balcony cabins, a choice of dining styles and more entertainment options than any other cruise line.

Princess’ Exotics program includes:

* A 21-night cruise to Antarctica and South America on Golden Princess departing Rio de Janiero on January 22, 2007. The cruise features four days of scenic cruising in Antarctica as well as visits to Falkland Islands, Cape Horn, Ushuaia and Montevideo. A naturalist guide will join passengers on board to keep them well informed throughout this amazing journey. Prices start from A$4189 per person, complete twin.

* A seven-night round trip cruise on Star Princess from New York to Canada and New England, visiting Halifax, Saint John, Bar Harbor, Boston and Newport, departing throughout October, 2006. Fares start from A$1539 per person, complete twin.

* A 12-night South American cruise around Cape Horn, sailing from Buenos Aires to Santiago, via Montevideo, the Falkland Islands, Ushuaia, Punta Arenas and Puerto Montt. The cruise departs February 12 and March 8, or sails in reverse on February 24, 2007 and is priced from A$2539 per person in a complete twin cabin.

*A 21-night cruise from Sydney to Osaka on Pacific Princess departing April 25, 2006 and visiting many of the Pacific islands that featured in World War II. Ports of call include Honiara, Rabaul, Chuuk Island in Truk, Guam, Saipan, and Okinawa and Hiroshima in Japan. Fares start from A$4539 per person, complete twin.

* A 12-night cruise to Japan, Russia, South Korea and China on Sapphire Princess, departing Osaka on October 14, 2006 and sailing via Nagasaki, Vladivostok, Pusan, Shanghai and Dalian to Beijing. Fares start from A$2189 per person, complete twin.

All fares include main meals, onboard accommodation, entertainment and government taxes. Subject to availability, conditions apply. Hotel and transfer packages are available on request.
