Taveuni Island Resort Reopens

Taveuni Island Resort, located on Fiji’s Garden Island, has recently completed a superb $3 million extension and refurbishment project, securing its position as one of Fiji’s top luxury boutique resorts.

Set on 10 acres, amongst lush tropical gardens, cascading waterfalls and boasting spectacular views of the sapphire waters of the Somosomo Strait, the Resort is ideal for weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries or couples seeking an indulgent romantic escape.

A stunning new main building, which houses a welcoming reception/lounge area, office and boutique, has recently been completed, along with five new luxury 120 square metre bures.

The newly reopened Resort can now accommodate just 14 couples, who can choose to stay in one of 12 dreamy ocean view bures, or the two bedroom luxury villa, with its own private plunge pool, staff and chef, for the ultimate pampering experience.

Offering complete privacy, each of the seven original bures has been enlarged to over 100 square metres. The bedrooms have been extended into a lounge with concertina doors opening onto a spacious outdoor living area, taking full advantage of the majestic view of the South Pacific and surrounding Islands.

Romance has been kept in mind during the refurbishment process and guests will be enchanted by the bures’ tropically inspired décor. Native materials have been used widely throughout the resort and all fittings and furniture, including the bures’ blissful daybeds has been custom designed and made.

In addition to the extension and refurbishment the Resort is delighted to welcome a new highly qualified fine-dining chef, who specializes in South Pacific rim flavour cuisine.
